Week 1 CEASE Therapy

Noah has had the first rounds of hep B 30x clearing this week.  Our homeopath is going very slow to help him ease into the detox. She reported to me that she has never seen anyone respond to this dosage. On both Monday and Thursday Noah had detox reactions. The first day he was irritable, wanted to be held constantly, and his face was flushed... he was just very uncomfortable. His lips were also a tad irritated and swollen. On Thursday, he had diarrhea all day and the smell was horrible. He also had some more irritation on his lips. Today, the diarrhea continues.

Some things we have seen this week that are new:

-he is trying to make more noises/verbalize/try new signs more than usual

-he is more aware of people around him, more present

-he just seems to be understanding more of what we say to him

Is this because of CEASE therapy and homeopathy? I am not sure but we will take it!

His detox reactions this week confirmed to me that his vaccinations impacted him and his development. I will be interested to see how he does next week when we continue with the hep b clearing. I am also excited to see how he responds to his constitutional remedy Pulsatilla. We will be giving him a dose of this tomorrow.

In other news, I learned today from the DSS worker that Noah was approved for the EDCD waiver!!! This is a huge answer to prayer. The Medicaid application still has to process but it shouldn't be a problem. He doesn't have any money so he will qualify. By having this waiver, we will be able to receive respite services, and he will receive Medicaid which will cover copays and services that our private insurance is not covering. I also pray that it covers some ABA for Noah because we cannot afford much for him. Thank you Lord for Your provisions.

Hep. B vaccination and Signs of a Problem

In reviewing Noah's medical record, I have come to the realization that he struggled with vaccines from the very beginning. At 4 days old he was given the Hep B vaccination. Three days later his eye ducts became inflamed and infected. I didn't know this at the time, but I have learned that this is one of the many different symptoms that should alert a parent that their child is having difficulty with vaccinations. He was given another Hep B vaccination around 2 months old and the same exact reaction occurred.

The Homeopath we are currently working with also feels that this may be a key vaccine to detox for Noah as he always seemed to have some sort of reaction to this particular vaccination. She told me that this may be the first thing we detox. She also said that we will be working on a constitutional remedy to counteract the detox. Even though I am nervous about embarking on this path, I know I must for my precious boy. I want him to have the best life possible. I want him to thrive and grow. I will leave NO stone unturned to help him heal and recover and be everything God has intended for him to be. I pray that the Lord guides my steps and give me wisdom to make the right decisions for his care.

So, we will have our second meeting via Skype with the homeopath next Tuesday and then we will probably start the remedies. So exciting and so nerve racking at the same time!!!!

Creating a Timeline and Vaccines

I have been completing initial paperwork for our upcoming CEASE therapy consultation. They ask a lot of detailed questions on these forms and they want to know what vaccines were given and the responses he had to those vaccines. I had a hard time remembering everything Noah has received so I ordered his entire medical record. I created a timeline detailing vaccines and sicknesses/symptoms over the course of the last 20 months.

What the timeline revealed sickened me completely. I have always questioned what exactly caused Noah's autism but was never 100% sure that vaccines were the culprit. He did not have a severe reaction to any vaccine he was given....However, after viewing the timeline it is hard to think that they did not have a direct impact on his current condition.

The timeline showed that in a 9 month period he received 14 vaccinations. At about 6 months he broke out in eczema. After receiving all of the vaccines, including the flu shot he became sick over and over and over with recurrent ear infections (4 to be exact) and he was treated then with 5 rounds of antibiotics. Looking back at pictures, we feel certain that things began to go downhill at this point (9 to 12 months- immediately after these vaccines were given). He stopped smiling at the camera, started zoning out, not giving good eye contact.... it was gradual enough that we didn't even see it... didn't even connect it to anything. The timeline has revealed some connection. It may not be the only reason but I think it is a huge factor.

So much heartache... so many regrets. Wish I could turn back the hands of time. If only I had known.... You trust that your doctor is doing the right thing- I can't trust anymore. I will be forever paranoid... I will question everything.
